Bio
Pastor Tabitha has served the Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church for the past 12 years. She was commissioned a provisional elder in 2016 and was ordained an Elder in 2018. Pastor Tabitha currently serves as the director of the Texas Southern University’s Wesley Foundation in Houston, Texas. Where she works to develop compassionate, Christ-centered, community-focused leaders. Other full-time appointments have included Chaplain, Wiley University, Director/Campus Pastor, Tyler United Wesley Foundation, and Senior Pastor, St. Paul/Pleasant Grove, Huntsville.
Pastor Tabitha is the mother of six beautiful children. Nyah – 23, Taylor -21, Zora – 17,Isaiah – 10 ( her only son), and twin girls Kennedy and McKenzie- 9.
Pastor Tabitha loves to spend time with family, travel, eat crawfish, and dance for fun! Ministry has taken her to many places, including Jamaica and Belize. However, her most memorable experience was serving in Nairobi, Kenya for 10 days. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 and she frequently recites this scripture.
Pastor Tabitha is a graduate of Sam Houston State University (BA), Gammon Theological Seminary (MDiv), and is she currently working towards earning an EdD in Christian Education Leadership. Pastor Tabitha is also a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!
Pastor Tab, as her students affectionately call her, has also served as an adjunct instructor at the Perkins School of Theology’s Course of Study program for the past 6 years and the Houston Community College’s Adult Literacy Program. She is passionate about preaching and teaching God’s word and inspiring others to be the change that they wish to see in world!

Pastor Tab is also an advocate for equality change and advancement within the local church and community. Her research as an undergraduate student inspired a 2 million dollar grant in her hometown (Huntsville, Texas) to create safe pathways to school for disadvantaged youth.
Pastor Tab currently serves on the nominations committee of the south central jurisdiction of Black Methodist for church renewal and The Houston Caucus of BMCR as the Youth Coordinator
She is the current director of the Texas Annual Conference’s Black Clergy Women And the immediate past Co chair of the South Central Jurisdiction’s Black Clergy Women
She has served on numerous boards and committees such as the Texas Annual Conference’s Board of Higher Education and Campus ministry.
And is the recipient of several awards and scholarships such as the Texas Conference’s Eric Anderson Evangelism Award and the Journey Toward Ordained Ministry award.
Pastor Tab is also a
proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and served her chapter as chaplain for two years.
Pastor Tab Has served as an adjunct instructor at Wiley University, Houston Community College and Perkins School of Theology.
